AKK calls for the release of kidnapped APC chieftain, Hon. Wale Oriade

Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem, AKK has joined the rising number of voices demanding the immediate and unconditional release of Hon. Wale Oriade, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State who was kidnapped several days ago.

In a strongly worded appeal, AKK described Oriade’s abduction as a painful reminder of the worsening insecurity confronting citizens and warned that such incidents threaten the peace and stability the state desperately needs.

He emphasized that Hon. Oriade, a family man, grassroots mobilizer, and committed party figure—must be rescued without delay.

AKK called on the Oyo State Government, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services, and all relevant security agencies to launch a coordinated and sustained operation to secure Oriade’s safe return.

He stressed that protecting citizens is a fundamental duty of government and that insecurity undermines every aspect of development, from education and healthcare to economic progress.

According to him, failure to bring Hon. Oriade home safely would amount to a failure of collective responsibility.

He further urged the people of Oyo State, Nigerians across the country, and supporters in the diaspora to intensify prayers for Hon. Oriade and for all Nigerians currently held by kidnappers.

AKK prayed for comfort for Oriade’s family and reaffirmed his belief that Oyo State and Nigeria can become places where citizens no longer live in fear.

He expressed confidence that, through unity and determination, the present security challenges will be overcome.
